In most African countries, girls and women have been relegated to the background. Their voices are not heard and so they are not part of decision making, neither do they sit near the corridor of power. They are deprived of education, land and employment. However, there are few of these women who will not settle for less or second place. They are few of them who believe that they have to contribute their quota to the development of their countries. These few chose to be the loud voice that echoes the silent cry of other women. They are the pacesetters and are scattered across public and private sectors in different countries. One of these few women is Phanice Kwamboka from Kenya.
